The Jews in Latvia | Latvian History

Interesting history of The Jews in Latvia.
The English is not perfect but readable and there is a lot of information -- via Maris Goldmanis.

Latvian Independence Day, November 18, Celebrated Today

My father, Arvids Kaulins (born in Lejasciems, Latvia, October 1 (old style), 1914, deceased May 22, 1987 in Lincoln, Nebraska) was an intense but not politically active patriot who married my mother, Valda Antonija Kaulins (born Putelis in Karsava, Latvia, January 16, 1924) on November 18, Latvian Independence Day.

Hey, that's today.

It's the 93rd Day of Independence since 1918.

Congratulations, Latvia.
